Larry Letterio - Image Larry Letterio

Larry Letterio is Managing General Partner of Altair Hedged Equity Partners, LP and president of Altair Management Partners, Inc., a registered investment adviser.  He is a Registered Investment Adviser Principal, Registered Representative, and is licensed as a life, health and annuity agent.  Prior to founding Altair Management Partners, Mr. Letterio was Vice President of Investment Management at Mid Atlantic Capital Group.  While at Mid Atlantic, Mr. Letterio engaged in managing the assets of high net worth individuals, foundations and endowments.  During his tenure at Mid Atlantic, Mr. Letterio also served as president of Bayfield Financial Company, a Registered Investment Adviser.  Through Bayfield, he designed and implemented proprietary investment management software to monitor and control the risk and return characteristics of individual securities, mutual funds and allocated portfolios.  Mr. Letterio began his career as an auditor with the international accounting firm of Touche Ross and Co. (Deloitte and Touche).

Mr. Letterio received his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. 

Outside of the office, Mr. Letterio is a frequent lecturer on issues surrounding the hedge fund industry and wealth stewardship.  He and his wife, Darlene, are founders of the Bosin/Letterio Memorial Foundation, dedicated to advancing research in the areas of Parkinson’s Disease and Bi-polar personality disorder.  With their dog "Buddy", Larry and Darlene are also active with Therapy Dogs International, bringing the companionship of a dog to seniors who can no longer maintain a pet of their own.

Brendan Kenny is the Director of Marketing and Client Relationship Manager for Altair Management Partners, Inc.  He joined Altair Management Partners, Inc. in 2004 to bring his twelve years of institutional expertise to the marketing efforts of Altair as well as to provide support to Larry Letterio in seminars and educational presentations. Mr. Kenny is also a founding limited partner of Altair Hedged Equity LP Fund.  Prior to becoming a Director at Altair, Mr. Kenny was Trading Manager and Operations Director for STN Money Markets, a wholly owned subsidiary of SunGard Data Systems.  It was in this capacity that his extensive network and understanding of institutional clients was developed.  In 2002, SunGard (SDS: NYSE) acquired Mid Atlantic Institutional Shares, Inc. (MAIS) in an effort to expand their presence in institutional money markets.  Mr. Kenny was a founding partner of Mid Atlantic Institutional Shares, Inc. in 1995.

At MAIS, Mr. Kenny had responsibility over the institutional money market trading and operations.  There, he was instrumental in raising $25 Billion in assets for money market fund partners’ portfolios.  MAIS was established in 1995 by Mr. Kenny and his co-founders with a core client base and five institutional money market fund partners.  By 2002 it had evolved into a company with 40 employees and over 30 institutional money market products catering to hundreds of the country's largest corporations, pensions and government agencies.  Prior to forming MAIS, Mr. Kenny was the head Repo trader and Institutional Sales representative for Concord Financial Group from 1992 to 1995.  Concord Financial Group was subsequently purchased by BISYS, Inc. in 1994.

Mr. Kenny earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Duquesne University, majoring in Economics and Finance. 

Mr. Kenny sits on the Boards of the Laughlin Children's Center, Fern Hallow Nature Center, and Village Green Partners. Mr. Kenny and his wife Sarah live in Sewickley, PA with their two children.

Michael Schneck - Image Michael Schneck

Michael Schneck is a Partner with Altair Management Partners, Inc., a Pittsburgh, PA-based investment advisor focused on wealth management for affluent individuals, endowments and foundations.  Mr. Schneck is responsible for business development, customer relationship management, and product support.

Prior to arriving at Altair, Mr. Schneck was a professional athlete in the National Football League.  He entered the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he played from 1999 through 2004. From there he played for the Buffalo Bills from 2005 to 2006 where Mr. Schneck was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 2005 season. He went on to play for the Atlanta Falcons from 2007 until his retirement after the 2009 season.

While playing in the NFL, Mr. Schneck gained experience in finance and real estate. He worked as a financial advisor for PNC Advisors from 1999 to 2002. From there he transitioned to commercial real estate at Grubb & Ellis in Pittsburgh. There he obtained his real estate license and worked in the Retail leasing department. In 2002, Mr. Schneck joined Champion Properties, a real estate development company in Canonsburg, PA. There he gained experience evaluating value-added shopping center investments. Most recently, he worked at ECHO Real Estate Developers, a ground-up developer of shopping centers based in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Schneck graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1999 with a B.S. in Personal Finance.

Mr. Schneck is also very active in the community. He is on the Board of Directors of Variety the Children’s Charity. Variety is an international charity founded in Pittsburgh to help children with disabilities gain mobility. He has also done work for Cystic Fibrosis, hosting their annual sports auction.
